Experience:
Steve Stankiewicz was born in Boston and grew up in Chicago and Connecticut. He has been illustrating full-time since 1991. He began specializing in watercolor maps a few years ago, using the medium he first fell in love with in his teens, scanning and combining them with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop techniques on a Mac. Steve learned computers early in the digital revolution and is comfortable with software or brush. He has also done a lot of technical illustration work and makes etchings for fun.
